Ecology Flag...

...Earth Day Pogo cartoon...

..Woodsy Owl....

..and an enigmatic E.P.A. P.S.A.

It's a Mannix kind of day!

Celebrate it...in all your words and actions!

...and here's a counter-argument from Joe Friday. Listen to his advice, kids!

Song for the end of the day

Books from my junior high library, circa 1978 or 1979

My cheapo school district obtained a bulk supply of "books" at some point during my early adolescence. They weren't library books; they were just 'around' in our classrooms. The ubiquity of these titles (for there were many copies of each one) made them very familiar to me, like old friends. Here are a few:
This one looked great, but I didn't read it.

This one I loved. In fact, I stole it.

Not as compelling as the movie.

I found this one hilarious, since it was four years old
and our school was in southern Indiana.

I also "liberated" and read this one. It's good!

There was also one about hot TV stars of some mid-seventies year, but I can't remember it specifically enough to find a picture...
