  1. The '20s were to the '60s what the '60s are to today.

I still haven't watched this show. We didn't have cable until this year. now we're tivoing this season, but we have to watch seasons 1 and 2 on dvd first.

  2. Wait, this is the '60s, right? The early '60s? Or is it the '50s?

  3. It's the early 60s (summer 1963 right now). You're right--faux roaring twenties was very big in the 60s.

  4. Actually I only meant that there's a 40-year difference between both, but I'm glad it sounded like I was saying more than that! Sometimes I get astounded by decade math; for instance, I thought it seemed too soon for '80s nostalgia but then I realized the '80s to today's kids are like what the '50s were to us '70s kids. In the '70s the '50s seemed so old fashioned, and there was all that '50s nostalgia going on, like Grease and Happy Days.
