Foulard got a late craving for an Xmas tree last weekend, so we got a fake one (discounted) at the drug store a block away from our apartment.  Now our place is very jolly!

It's got super-high quality audio of all the Beatles original LPs on it, plus all the artwork etc.   Of course, you  could get your own little USB drive for 10 bucks and fill it up with all the albums yourself, but this is pretty cute!  List price $298--yowsa!

Wow! Check out these early 60s molded toys based on the TV show "The Untouchables". I am dying to have these, since I'm very immature. Fortunately, someone is making them again.

Various cops, gangsters, and innocent victims! Check out the corpses and the guy who's getting shot (his hat is flying off and his knees are buckling -- how gruesome!).

Snob Toys of My Youth

As a vaguely Anglophilic and pretentious child, I was drawn to the upscale imported toys I'd see behind the glass case of the toy store in the town where I grew up. Here are some of the ones I found appealing:

Corgi cars. These were a natural, since they licensed retro sixties favorites James Bond, Batman, and the Saint (among others that I didn't have). The Bond and Batman stuff is still around, and very well-known, but I also had (and later lost) these:

The Saint's (aka Roger Moore's) Volvo P1800:

There were also various other non-licensed things, like a London taxi, etc.
