A Date with a Puppet

Beebo and I are watching the current season of our 'bad' reality TV show, The Bachelor, which is in one of its Bachelorette seasons.  The current' B'ette, Ashley the dental student, has to choose between the usual gallery of aspirant doofuses.  One of them is a guy named Ames, who looks like a Gerry Anderson TV marionette from the sixties:
To our surprise, he seems to be an intelligent guy, and more normal and even eloquent than most of the dudes in the house this season.  Wonder how long he'll last?

Creepy Puppets

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons--I love this show, and it would have driven me nuts with excitement when I was five.  It would be like watching my G.I. Joes (12" tall version) in the future, with an inappropriate level of puppet violence for small children.

New Doodle; Newdle

Did this while talking to Beebo on the phone just now.  I like drawing chunky turtlenecks, for some reason.

Truth in advertising on Craig's List

Even though we moved into our new apartment on Tuesday (yay), I still occasionally check out the Craig's List ads for fun.  I was impressed by the honesty of this one:

"So as not to waste your time or mine, you should know that this unit is very 1980. Although everything works and is clean, few aesthetic improvements have been made. The living and dining area are parcay [sic] flooring with the bedrooms being carpeted."

 Fair enough!

We R Music City USA

After a long and arduous journey, we have arrived in Nashville! We were too tired to go anywhere but the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, where we had a nice meal and a few beers. Smoking is still allowed in bars in Nashville--seems odd to us! They even had a vintage 70s-style cigarette machine in the lobby.

Super-Doodle

Here's a doodle of Superman I did while talking on the phone to Beebo just now. I was looking at tour times for Graceland, so it started out being Elvis-inspired. Other regular phone doodle subjects include Batman and Casper the Friendly Ghost.

SuperBowl FEVER! part two

Well, I promised you more Superbowl special treats, and I think I've really outdone myself this time. I've obtained a super-secret reel of the much-anticipated commercials to be shown at this year's game. As you know, sponsors pay millions to get these things on the air, and a lot of people say it's the best part of the event. So enjoy this special treat while you can, before "The Man" takes it away!
