As I was looking for clips, I saw something about it being remade. This time, it's set in the 60s rather than the 30s. I just saw the original on TV recently--it was pretty good. I read the book about 10 years ago. (also good)
I think that actress also played a maid on 'Maude' in the 70s.
Yes, she did, according to IMDb. I really have no memories of Maude, although I'm sure I watched it sometimes. I watched all of the other Norman Lear shows.
